Studying Sassanid's Military Offices based on Historical Sources and Archaeological Evidences

The Sassanids titles and military offices have undergone considerable changes by passing of the time and also following the special policies of every king. One of these offices is Hezarpat which in addition to owing many equivalents that everyone was customary in special times and afterthat oblished was confronted with periodical agitation the real output point of view. So, that was a military office in a special period and a military – civil in another time. Giving over the rank of Aran Spahbod to four commanders of army and forming four specified forms of cavalry that was effected by civil – military division in Khosrow Ardeshir period is from the other changes of military organization of Sassanid dynasty. In addition, civil inherited offices is not exceptions from this rule. So, some of the monopolistic jobs of great special families disappeared by breaking of some civil rules.It has been tried to refer to the essence of titles and offices of Sassanid era according to historical and archaeological evidences in order to put light on the civil and military feature of that government. In addition, investigation about arising military offices, the amount of their authorities and changes within different periods are the other aims of this article. Often it is said that Sassanids established a central and powerfull government and religion. So, we have tried to answer this proposal according to titles and military offices which come into existence in this period.
