A Rereading of the Authorship of Some Books in al-Najāshī's Rijāl and al-Ţūsī's al-Fihrist

Abstract:
In discussing the authorship of a book, it has been the common practice to study the author of the content, not the copyist or the transmitter. In this article, we will see how in al-Najāshī’s Rijāl and al-Ţūsī’s al-Fihrist, fifteen books of hadith were ascribed to those who have transmitted and completed them.
