Critical Analysis of The Issues of Qur ānic Sciences in Min Waḥy al-Qur ān"

The accurate recognition of the foundations and intellectual sources of the commentary writers and expression of the merits and qualifications of the Qur’ān interpreters in the hazardous arena of the exegesis of the Qur’ān and Qur’ānic studies calls for analyzing the existing interpretations and delving into the discourses and principles set forth in them. To this end, I have reviewed in the present article the discourses of the Qur’ānic sciences brought up in Min Waḥy al-Qur’ān and clarified that most of the common discourses of the Qur’ānic sciences and similar issues that have been influential in the orientation of the Qur’ān interpreter are brought up in this tafsīr and parts of it such as ta’wīl (esoteric interpretation), baṭn (inner core), and validity of the external meaning of the Qur’ān have been highly influential on the kind of outlook and exegetical approaches of Allāma Sayyid Ḥusayn Faḍl Allāh.
