The Effects of Globalization on Social Development with Emphasis on Social Circumstances of Iran

Globalization is a complex phenomenon which has numerous effects on society. As a multidimensional phenomenon, globalization has in social, political, economic, armed and technological effects on society. So predictably Globalization has different meanings. On the one hand it is respected as a factor for achievement of social welfare and on the other hand it is considered as a basic cause of bringing economic problems and social disaster to the contemporary world. Therefore, this article tries to review today’s process of globalization and also, to show its achievements and challenges, moreover its effects on social development.
