HEART IN QURAN AND ARABIC LITERATURE: MYTH OR REALITY

The holy Quran and texts of Arabic literatures have wider and multi-dimensional outlook the heart and its synonyms. The main question is whether heart in these texts, is same which beat inside a human body or it used for mind, and or for any other virtual meaning? This article tries to respond to some of the queries that heart mentioned in the holy Quran and other Arabic literatures is not imagery rather has been used correctly. Interesting point in this arena is that thinkers during the last three decades have approved that human heart consists of about 40000 nervous tissues that store information and send the necessary command to the brain. Therefore, Quranic description and other Arabic literature about heart as a place of love, guidance, relaxation, knowledge, secrets, heroism, truth, brutality, etc are well approved.
