Likewise some persian historical texts have significant literary value, there are literary texts that is difficlt to be ignored their histiorical aspect. Besides this, creating a litrary work is a historic event and some of them have hisorical tiesin different ways. Kabusnama by Amr Unsur al-Ma ali is of the kind. The author himself was a ruler who belonged to one of well-known dynasties of Iran. This book in fact is a book of advice and its author try to teach his son the arts of governance. The book mirrors a rulers’ life perfectly and discusses either kingship manner and its condition or servicing a king. Books chapters on arts of battle and secretaryship, ministry manners and condition, are all in order to teach political ethics to one who is prepared by his father for governance. In addition, historical information of the book is noticeable. This article is to examine the historical features of this literary work and determine its status regarding its historical and literary aspects.
