Message:
Abstract:
One of the most basic goals of applied Sience-tecnology universities in order for students to find jobs and meet market requirements is the transference and improvement of work knowledge and technology, and creating work skills and capabilities in people. Such trainings started in Mazandaran province since 1996 and by the end of 2005 had as many as 1673 graduates who received Associate's degrees. The main purpose of this research is investigation into employment conditions of these graduated students. In this research, employers and students points of view have been studied. Analysis of results shows that 78.5 % of these students got employed and 21.5 % are still unemployed. It has also been shown that studying in applied sience-tecnology universities led to job improvements for the graduates who were already employed, and created job opportunity for the unemployed group. Also, there is a significant relationship between student's field of study and the kind of their job. However, no significant relationship has been found between employers expectations, and the applied sience-tecnology university skill level of graduated student.
