The Crow in Persian Literature

In this essay، the etymology of the word «crow» has been studied first followed by a brief introduction of its kinds. Finally، internal and external characteristics of this bird alongside with examples of each case have been presented. In this work، attention has been paid to the reflection of the word «crow» and its characteristics in spiritual and religious texts as well as in proverbs and parables. In an overall conclusion، the crow''s place in Persian Literature has been identified.
