Assessments of environmental regulation paucity encounter to Tehran city contaminant units

Environmental issues such as combat to pollution and destroyed environment as many of social concerns are not separated from legal matters. Tehran city as capital of Iran with a total area of about 600 Km2 and 6.5 million population involved more than 30% of the country industry. More than 7500 tones of the municipal waste and the latest estimation, 2500000 m3 wastewater are disposed daily in the city. Tehran industries and its surroundings units play an important part in pollution of the capital after vehicles contaminant. The aim of the present study was assessment of environmental regulation paucity and recommendations for encountering judicial authority to owner of pollutant industrial units. The survey shown that some of subjects such as prevention of sprawl industrial units development in Tehran city, up to date regulations, equal implementation of law on convicts and pollutant units closing could be effective recommendations on furnishing (providing) sound environmental of city.
