    Background

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between social support and Internet addiction in nursing students: The role of mediating alexithymia.

    Materials and Methods

It was a creational research based on structural equation modeling specific regression equation; in this study 361 nursing students in Gorgan in year 2018 (178 girls and 183 boys) are chosen in random sampling method. All of them filled Zimt social support scale (1988), Torento mediation alexithymia scale (1988) and Kimberley Young Internet addiction scale (1996).

    Results

The findings from regression equations show that there is a direct relation between social support and Internet addiction and an indirect relation between social support and mediation alexithymia. There is positive and significant relation between alexithymia and Internet addiction. There is a negative and significant relation between social support and alexithymia. In the present study, regression structural equation modeling was utilized to analyze the collected data, SPSS 18 and Amos 23 soft wares were used for the analysis of the data.

    Conclusion

Finally, model forecasting variables predict 0.42 variance in Internet addiction. The results of this study emphasized the importance of the role of  social support as well as  the mediating role of alexithymia variation on students' extreme Internet tendencies that can provide applied methodical to advisers and trainers in order to improve the psychological state.

    Aim

The study was designed to examine the predictive effects of neuroticism and emotional intelligence on the bullying behavior of students.

    Method

the descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Participants for this study consisted of 130 randomly selected students from a college that is predominantly for boys in Ondo State, Nigeria. Three standardized scales were used to obtain data from the participants, Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Multiple Regression analyze were used to analyze the data collected.

    Results

Three research hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The result revealed that there was a significant relationship between neuroticism, emotional intelligence and bullying behavior among college students. Neuroticism and emotional intelligence accounted for 25% of the variation of bullying behavior and also contributed significantly to the prediction.

    Conclusion

Based on this findings, it was recommended School Counsellors, and Psychologists should assist in training students who score high on neuroticism as to help them in understanding and as a result manage their personality type effectively without posing threats to others.

Various protective mechanisms have been proposed to explain how marital satisfaction is increased through positive and negative emotions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personality characteristics and marital satisfaction; the mediating role of positive and negative affect. The research method was descriptive and correlational. In this research, 300 married women living in eastern Tehran were selected by available sampling method and five factors (NEO; Costa & McCrae, 1989), Marital Satisfaction Scale (Fowers, & Olson1993) and Positive and Negative Affect Questionnaire PANASS) was performed on subjects.  Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and path analysis. The results of the test using Imus software showed that the indirect effect of personality traits on marital satisfaction was significant through the positive and negative affect mediators at the level of p <0.05.  The results of this study support interventions and training to remove and decreases negative emotions.

    Introduction

Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases, which has a negative effect on the quality of life. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of training based on positive-psychology on Quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes.

    Materials and Methods

This quasi-experimental study was a pretest-posttest with control and follow-up group. The sample was selected through convenient sampling from patients in Hazrat Ali Health center in Isfahan with type 2 diabetes in 2017 and randomly divided into two groups of 15. The experimental group was trained positive psychology and the control group did not receive any treatment. Both groups were assessed before and after the intervention and at the follow up stage using the World Health Organization Quality of Life questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using analysis of variance with measure repeated ANOVA.

    Results

results Showed that positive- Psychology education had significant influence on the quality of life and mental health area, social relations and environmental health in patients with type 2 diabetes and  Post-test scores increased but There was no significant influence in physical health area (P <0.001),

    conclusion

Positive Psychology education effectively improves the quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes. Therefore, it is recommended that this treatment approach be used to help improve the quality of life of these patients.

    Background

The cardiac function of patients with acute myocardial infarction plays an important role in disease prognosis The risk of ischemic heart disease and its death in people with D-personality type is four times higher than those with lower levels of negative affect and social inhibition and Lifestyle is the objective and quantifiable dimension of human personality

    Objectives

The purpose of this research was to model the cardiac function based on D-personality type with the mediating role of health promoting lifestyle in patients with acute myocardial infarction
    Patients  and

    Methods

The present research has employed a correlation method based on the structural equation modeling especially regression equations. The statistical population of this research was all patients with acute myocardial infarction (STEMI) l under PCI Primary referred to Mazandaran Cardiac Center in Sari in 2017-18. 220 patients were selected through Muller Regression Equation Modeling Formula (1996) considering the ratio of the sample size to the free parameter by purposive sampling method. They responded to the DS14 D-personality questionnaire (Denolt, 2005) and the Health Promoting Lifestyle Questionnaire (HPLP II).

    Results

D-personality type variable can directly predicts  of the cardiac function of patients with acute myocardial infarction. This variable also predicts the cardiac function of these patients through the mediation of Health Promoting Lifestyle

    Conclusions

D-personality type has a direct and indirect effect on heart disease and prognosis of patients with myocardial infarction (due to the mediating role of health promoting lifestyle) and screening for this personality type is necessary.

    Background

Depression is a serious and debilitating mental disorder that afflicts a large number of human beings worldwide. This study was tried to compare the effectiveness of behavioral activation therapy and act matrix on the depression of College Students.

    Materials and Methods

The present study is an experimental design by using pre and posttest with a control group. Therapeutic intervention in the experimental group implemented 8 sixty-minute sessions weekly for female students between 18-35 years' old who have depression symptoms. During these time participants in the experimental and control group responded to Beck Depression Inventory-Second Edition, before, after an intervention, and in follow-up (4 weeks after the end of intervention).

    Results

The findings of covariance analysis showed that the ACT matrix and BATD reduced symptoms of depression. There was no significant difference in depression between the two experimental groups (acceptance and commitment-based therapy (ACT) by matrix method and behavioral activation therapy (p = 0.999). This indicates the effect of almost identical acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapy by matrix method and behavioral education training to reduce depression. Eta coefficient shows that matrix and BATD explain 0.64 of depression and these results have been maintained in the follow-up stage.

    Conclusion

The results of this study showed that the ACT matrix and BATD have significantly reduced symptoms of depression. This approach seeks to teach how to break up from thought content by taking viewpoints, instead of stuck the past and conceptualizing on future live sort their life story, recognizing values and important individuals of their lives and ultimately taking step to achieve these goals and values without getting stuck in trap of their attention and with compassion for themselves and others.
