    Introduction
Psychologists and counselors need Psychological Capital and Sense of Coherence to effectively engage in their professional roles in prevention and intervention. So the purpose of this study was to investigate the role of psychological capital and sense of coherence in the work engagement of Iranian psychologists and counselors.
    Materials and Methods
Using a web-based sampling method, 1156 psychologists and counselors from different regions of Iran were selected in 2021 and completed the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES; Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003), the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ:Luthans, 2002), and the Sense of Coherence Scale (SOC:Flensborg-Madsen, 2017). SPSS26 was used to analyze the data using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression.
    Findings
The results indicated a positive and significant relationship between the components of psychological capital (self-efficacy, resilience, hope, and optimism) and the feeling of psychological cohesion with job desire. (P<0.001). The regression analysis also showed that self-efficacy, optimism, and hope could predict the participants' work engagement (P<0.001).However, resilience and a sense of psychological cohesion could not predict work engagement (P<0.05).Discussion The findings highlighted the role of psychological capital and a sense of coherence in the work engagement of Iranian psychologists and counselors and its place supports them in preventive and intervention activities
    Conclusion
Based on the results of the current research, psychological capital and Sense of Coherence are important and influential variables on work engagement among mental health professionals, and it is suggested to pay more attention to these variables in the empowerment programs of mental health professionals

    Introduction
Of particular global concern is the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. All Persian versions of COVID-19 measures assess the intrapsychic aspects of it, and there is a crucial need to measure the intergroup aspects of this pandemic.
    Aim
The current study aims to validate the Persian version of COVID-19 attitudes and behaviors in the Iranian sample.
    Method
The participants included 250 people from all over Iran in cyberspace who were selected availability (177 men and 73 women). They voluntarily participated in the study by filling out questionnaires that were made available through Google Forms and then disseminated online.
    Results
The ACAB scale had satisfactory reliability and validity according to content, face, and construct validity tests except for the first subscale (social distancing adjustment). Consequently, confirmatory factor analysis supported the ACAB with 12-item and three subscales. Therefore, three subscales remained, including self-prioritization, prosocial behaviors, and belief in conspiracies, and social distancing adjustment was eliminated because the factor loading values of its items were less than 0.4.
    Conclusion
Results indicated that the ACAB is a reliable and helpful tool in research, especially for governmental surveys to understand why people do not cooperate in vaccination or prosocial behaviors.

    Aim
Emotional and cognitive components such as emotional intelligence, Alexithymia, and thought-action fusion have a significant impact on generalized anxiety disorder, and the above components are considered to be the main factors in the creation and continuation of this disorder. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to compare emotional intelligence, Alexithymia and thought-action fusion in patients with generalized anxiety disorder and normal people.
    Method
The present study was descriptive and causal-comparative in terms of its fundamental purpose and data collection method. The statistical population of the research was all generalized anxiety patients who referred to specialized psychiatry and counseling clinics in Qazvin city in the spring and summer of 1402, who were diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder by specialists. From this statistical population, 50 people with pervasive anxiety and 50 normal people were selected by available sampling method. The tools of this research were Bar-N's Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (1980), Toronto Alexithymia Questionnaire (1994) and Rachman and Shafran's Thought-Action Fusion Questionnaire (1998). Data were analyzed using SPSS-25 software and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA).
    Findings
The results showed that there is a significant difference between emotional intelligence (F=24.22 and P<0.01), Alexithymia (F=14.77 and P<0.01) and thought-action fusion (F=9.85 and P<0.01) exists in patients with generalized anxiety disorder and normal people.
    Conclusion
Therefore, it is recommended to pay special attention to the role of emotional intelligence, Alexithymia, and thought-action fusion in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. Also, experts can use the research results for the prevention and treatment of generalized anxiety disorder.

Creativity is an essential element of cognition and thinking. Thinking is defined as the process of reorganizing or modifying the stored information and symbols in long-term memory. In this context, creativity is closely linked to analytical ability and the mind's capacity for visualization. The present study aims to predict creative thinking and emotional creativity based on executive brain functions among second-grade high school students in Jafarabad city. The study employs a correlational methodology with descriptive characteristics and applied purposes. The statistical population consists of all male and female second-grade high school students in Jafarabad city, totaling 493 individuals. The sample size was determined Using Cochran's formula, resulting in the selection of 218 students. Standardized questionnaires for Abedi Creative Thinking Questionnaire 2013, Ivoril emotional creativity questionnaire 1999, and Questionnaire of executive functions of the rescue brain 2013 were used as data collection tools. The results of the reliability calculation of the questionnaires showed that Cronbach's alpha coefficient was estimated for creative thinking (0.84), emotional creativity (0.92) and brain executive function (0.79). which shows that the questionnaires are at an acceptable level. The data were analyzed using SPSS software, including descriptive and inferential analyses through tables, demographic charts, and regression analysis. The results suggest that executive brain function components can predict both creative thinking and emotional creativity.

    Aim
The primary propose of the current study is to propose a model for predicting suicidal ideation based on early maladaptive schemas, with the mediation of interpersonal needs among high school students.
    Method
Employing a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, the research investigated the interplay between early maladaptive schemas and interpersonal needs. The methodology was purposefully, applied research, correlational in its descriptive nature, and rigorously adherent to the SEM design . The study encompassed the entire second-grade high school student population in Qazvin City during the academic year 2022-2023. A stratified multistage cluster sampling method systematically extracted a random sample of 600 students. Data collection utilized three standardized instruments: Beck's Suicidal Ideation Scale (BSSI), Young Schema-Short Form (YSQ-SF), and the Interpersonal Needs (INQ). Robust data analysis employed SPSS 25 and Smart PLS software
    Findings
The results indicated that maladaptive schemas exerted an indirect influence on suicidal ideation, mediated through interpersonal needs. Conversely, no direct effect of maladaptive schemas on suicidal ideation was observed. Maladaptive schemas, however, exhibited a direct association with interpersonal needs, (thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness), both of which demonstrated a direct correlation with suicidal ideation. The model's adequacy was confirmed through goodness-of-fit indices.
    Conclusion
The theoretical implications of this study significantly contributed to the understanding of the intricate relationships influencing suicidal ideation among high school students. Furthermore, the practical applications of these findings extended to educational organizations and counseling centers, offering valuable insights for the development of targeted interventions aimed at reducing suicide rates in this demographic.

The present research is devoted to the study of the effect of teaching self-regulation learning strategies (cognition, metacognition) on self-efficacy and mental health of students in Astara city. The statistical population included all the female students of the first high school (second period) of Astara city in the academic year of 1996-1997. Among these students, 46 students were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method and they were randomly replaced into two experimental and control groups. The instruments used were: Pentrich and Groot's self-regulated learning strategies questionnaire (1990) and Goldberg and Hiller's general health questionnaire. (1979). The current research is a semi-experimental research of the pre-test-post-test design type with a control group. After conducting the pre-test for the experimental and control groups, the experimental group was trained in self-regulated learning strategies for 10 sessions of 60 minutes based on the theoretical background of the research of Nunes et al. et al., under the title of "How to comprehensively self-regulate?" Then the post-test was done for the experimental and control groups. The results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed a significant difference in self-efficacy in the experimental group, but this significance was not observed in mental health.

  • A Jamesonian Reading of Joyce Carol Oates’ Selected Short Stories
Fatemeh Azizmohamadi *, Behruz Mansuri Kazazi, Shahram Afrougheh Pages 108-123

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the concept of culture in the collection of short stories entitled as Lovely,Deep, Dark and I Am No One You Know by Joyce Carol Oates through Fredric Jameson’s theory of postmodern culture. The portraits of women, men, and children show Oates's compassion for the human life in the modern society.According to Jameson, postmodern culture is the internal and superstructural expression of a whole new wave of American military and economic domination throughout the world: in this sense,as throughout class history, the underside of culture is blood, torture, death, and terror.Lovely,Deep,Dark and I Am No One You Know represent the spot of postmodern man’s struggle with his background and real culture. The stories are associated with an avant-garde movement in which nature is gone and this feature can be seen in all collections of the stories. They create a deconstructed condition in which there is no direct relation between social beings. The setting of the stories reminds the postmodern society which is the metaphor for the current American society with a revolutionized culture. The place that the authors have created in the stories is devoid of natural life and happiness. It is a fabricated place in which the people are programmed like robots.Throughout the stories, the authors represent technological pessimism which refers to the sense of disappointment, anxiety, and menace in subjects due to technological issues. The researcher contributes to identify the main cause of Oates’s attack to her characters in these collections. The main purpose of research paper finds the cause of Oates’s message in postmodern world
