Proverb is a concise statement (in verse or prose), in general use, expressing a shrewd perception about everyday life or a universally recognized truth. Most proverbs are rooted in folklore and have been preserved by oral tradition. The present article is a study of the proverbs used in Bandar-eKhamir and Minab. The proverbs studied in the article are the ones that have a Persian equivalent. Those that do not have a specific equivalent in Persian will be studied in another article.

Nowadays music, especially pop music, is a cultural product which is widely used in society. Music has achieved a noticeable development and importance among the youth. In view of the above-said importance, the aim of the article is to study the role and position of pop music among the youth in Bandar Abbas. The results demonstrate that most youths listen to pop music to a certain extent. They believe that pop music brings about joy and happiness in society. They also believe that this type of music is capable of filling their free time and entertaining them. From the youth's viewpoint, being familiar with music is a necessity. However, they are a little familiar with music principles and genres. The results prove that from the youth's viewpoint, music, as a cultural instrument, can be utilized to develop social unity and harmony, to make a sense of success in people, to give relaxation and pleasure in society.

National identity has an important political role among other identities. In the politics, it realizes ideals, legitimizes to life of national community, and it’s solidarity, and increases group authority. Ethnic and religious minorities are the important sources of national identity. If owners of identity solve their differences and obtain coordinated identity, democracy will be realized.
