The comparison between cochlear implanted and normal 6-9 year old children in social development after cochlear implant surgery (fars CI center)

Abstract:
Objective
Children with hearing loss have too many problems in society. Nowadays cochlear implant surgery and rehabilitation are used for deaf children and they can develop their language and social skills by this way. So the purpose of this study is to make a quantitative comparison of parameters of social development between children with cochlear implants and normal hearing children.
Material And Methods
Data were obtained from 30 children with cochlear implant and 30 normal children. In order to gather the data we used the winelend test after that we did statistical analyzing on them.
Results
we saw no significant difference in social development of normal and cochlear implanted children. Also the child's age was an important factor for surgery and rehabilitation.
Conclusion
Nowadays too many children use cochlear implantation. Cochlear implant is usefull for speech and language development. Also it is important in social development and decline of anxiety in children and their parents.
