Identifying and Prioritizing Supply Chain Risks in Manufacturing Organization; Using Analytic Hierarchical Process

Abstract:
In the present competitive world, supply chain management is one of the fundamental issues for economic enterprises which influence all of the organizations’ activities to production and services to customers. Thus, concentration on existing opportunities and threats in the area of global commerce and evaluation of the organizations’ power in confronting the corresponding risks are undeniable importance. Risk management in supply chain is in charge of identifying, analyzing and proposing appropriate approach for responding, controlling and monitoring of risks in economic and production cycles. In this paper, we have examined the roots and various factors of uncertainty in supply chain and a structure for risks and threats has been proposed. Then, we have covered the evaluation of risks importance for achieving the weights of supply chain risks with using analytic hierarchical process (AHP) for both government and private production organization. Finally, considering the results of this research, the status and importance of supply chain risks can be identified and prioritized with employing multi criteria decision making.
