The Role of Iranian-Islamic University in Generation of Religious Science

the present study aims to analyze the role of Iranian-Islamic University in generation of religious science.There is a long history of analyzing the relation of science and religion in Islam and is an important subject of today discussions. The rapidly progress and development of western world on one hand and the economic, military, cultural, political and scientific decadence of Islamic world on the other hand leads to this question: is Islam against knowledge and science? The study on Iranian-Islamic history shows no conflict between them. The article then refers to the necessity of redefining the concept of university in Iran due to requirements of modern era. The mentioned university, which is benefiting Iranian and Islamic heritage, has to develop Islamic-Iranian civilization. Such a movement requires considering all aspects of cultural and civilization of science. The method used in present research in library study and document analyzing method. The results of the study indicate that we consider university as the symbol of modern science in Iran and we have some misunderstanding on the subject since there is no coordination between such modern institutes and our identity, culture and history. There fore there are some problems in generation of religious science. At the end of the paper, the author of the article suggests generation of religious science based on Iranian-Islamic University and development of the Iranian-Islamic society as the result.
