Presenting supplier selection model using fuzzy AHP (Case study: Pars Neopan Company)

Abstract:
Supply chain management including integrated decision making process during supply chain from row material supplier to product consumption by final customer. This process includes three kind of main decision of supply, production and distribution in strategic, tactical and operational levels. Supplier selection is one of the most important decision making problems including both qualitative and quantitative factors to identify suppliers with the highest potential for meeting a firm’s needs consistently and at an acceptable cost. In this paper supplier problem in Pars Neopan Company was studied and fuzzy AHP methodology was used for this work. For designing hierarchical structure, after definition of criteria and index, pair-wise comparison questionnaire is designed and distributed among the company experts. After gathering questionnaires, weight of criteria, index and alternatives are calculated and supplier with highest weight is selected as the best supplier. Results show that supplier criteria is most important criteria for supplier selection and product price, capacity and product quality are most important index in supplier selection respectively.
