Learning to control anger in a group: the effect of a cognitive-behavioral approach
Author(s):
Abstract:
To demonstrate the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral approach in learning how to control anger in a group setting، a group of 22 young men، residing in a Welfare Department''s dormitory، were divided into two equal sized groups، one of which went through an eight week course utilizing the said approach. The analysis of pre- and post-test data revealed no significant change in students'' behavior that had occurred due to the 8 week session they had gone through. Perhaps it is the short duration of the course and the program''s shortcomings which are the main reasons for this outcome.
