Mountain and Its Symbolic Meanings in Expressing Molana's Lovely and Mystical Emotions in Mathnavi

Molavi is the most famous poet who has presented the most delicate and magnificent meaning of life through his Mathnavi to the people of the world. We know Mathnavi as a treasure of endless illustrations and Molavi as a portrayer with a great unique power for illustration. Molavi has used the simplest manifestations of life and the simplest unique manifestations of nature such as ‘mountain’ to teach us the most precious and unheard instructions, giving our old and gloomy inner world a garment of novelty and freshness. In the present thesis, ‘mountain’ and its natural and clear manifestations in Mathnavi has been analyzed and discussed; moreover, its mystic and symbolic viewpoints are analyzed and stated. The results of this research are suggestive of Molana's concern and his great spiritual attention towards the manifestations of grace, greatness and grandeur and resistance. Besides majesty and dignity, the ‘mountain’ inspires us with an ethical lesson too. And it is the lesson of being consonant with faithfulness to secrets and protection to which Molana has paid special attention.
