Islamic University Theory: A Designed Cultural Model by Grounded Theory

Abstract:
Objectives
After three decades of Islamic revolution and developing the higher education system and universities with quantitative-oriented growth, there are still many debates in the nature, why and how of the Islamic university. Weakness of theoretical fundamentals of Islamic university and imitative structure of concept and functions of Iranian university is one of the main reasons of complexity of islamicization of universities process. The present paper is extracted -with Explorative Approach- a cultural model for Islamic university theory.
Method
Grounded theory with systematic using collected data.
Results
The results of the present survey indicate that in the model, core category is explained and causal factors, context, environmental conditions, strategies and outcomes are recognized.
Conclusion
Reclamation and deepening student belief in Islamic-Iranian values is core category in Islamic university theory. Islamicization of universities must be based on process and cultural subject. Islamic university is based on Islamic and Iranian values concurrently.
