The prodromal symptoms in patients with myocardial infarction in Rafsanjan Alieben Abitaleb hospital CCU,2012

Abstract:
Introduction
Ischemic heart disease is the most common form of cardiovascular disease and the first cause of death in the world. This study was a descriptive - analytical study to determine the prodromal symptoms in patients with myocardial infarction in Rafsanjan Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) hospital CCU، 2012.
Methods
The sample included 175 patients had acute myocardial infarction. For data collection questionnaire was used، which includes demographic data، risk factors for heart disease، prodromal symptoms.
Results
For data analysis descriptive statistics (mean، standard deviation، frequency distribution and percentage) and chi-square test and Pearson coefficient was used. According to the results، the majority of patients were male (76. 6%) and middle-aged (53. 1). Of 175 patients studied، 132 (75. 4%) had warning sign two weeks before the cardiac event and 43 (24. 6%) were without symptoms.
Conclusion
In total، these results showed that most heart patients in the days before a heart attack have warning symptoms; most of them did not pay attention to symptoms and did not refer to the medical center. People، who have warning signs، after acute myocardial infarction symptoms، were admitted to hospital later.
