Explanation of Relationship between police and people in the field of disciplinary scheme based on Berlo's Model

Considerable degree of citizen calls to the police is concerned to the criticism or complaint about police behavior and police relationship with them. This study aimed to explore instances of police communications and identifying priority issues associated with the police in the area of social discipline scheme using Berlo's communication model has been done. The research method is descriptive - analytical. Statistical Society was 40 Elite Communication Sciences familiar with police in Tehran and was full-count in 1390. Among communication models, Berlo's model was selected and then elements of Berlo's model were adapted with policing issues and indicators in the field of community disciplinary scheme. Researcher made questionnaire is used to collect data. The results showed that policing instances of police communication with people in the context of social discipline scheme according to Berlo's model, is accepted by experts in high average and police should have the highest communication skills and more over with all the feelings, uses feelings, words and nonverbal behavior while communicating effectively with the citizens in performing their missions properly.
