Risk Management in Military Contexts: A Game-based Assessment Approach

This study aimed at developing a new risk management model based on the Evolutionary Game Theory in military contexts. Nowadays, all traditional risk management methods suffer from two main problems; ineffectiveness in dynamic settings and mobility in estimating cooperative-competitive strategic models. None of the models suggested to address these problems have been able to overcome the problems of ineffectiveness. Trying to introduce an exploratory inductive model as to addressing both problems simultaneously, this study develops and suggests an innovative model for military risk management. The study is an applied one in its nature based on descriptive-analytic design. Incorporation of the evolutionary combination theory in selecting the effective variables for military risk management purposes has enhanced the efficiency of this model. The findings reveal that this innovation, while enhancing the accuracy of decisions for about %07 compared to the traditional models, introduces a new method for risk assessment and management.
