The Effect of Social Factors on Deviant Behavior in Governmental Officials in Shiraz

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of social factors on deviant behavior in government officials in Shiraz. In a survey of residents of Shiraz over 18 years of age, a questionnaire was distributed among 377 subjects, selected via cluster sampling. Findings indicate that the variables: rate of individual exposure to appropriate reward and punishment, individual sense of social belonging and limitation of resources accounts for 45% of variation of the dependent variable.
