Study of Respecting Rate of Media Ethics in Persian-Language Family Magazines

This paper is the result of a research to study respecting rate of the criteria of media ethics in the content of Persian-language family magazines. The incidental aims are composed of: to study the usage rate of objectivity principle for the production of materials and contents of family magazines, to study the usage of investigative journalism to produce the materials and contents of magazines, to study the rate of respecting to general honor in the content of family magazines, respecting rate of individual sanctum in the content of family magazines, to study respecting rate of publishing false and canard news in family magazines, to study the rate of violence promotion in the materials and pictures of family magazines, to study the rate of audience's viewpoint reflection in the magazines, to import to the audience's viewpoint, to study the usage of yellow journalism for attracting the audience, to study the influence of professionalism and editorial board' speciality in the respecting rate of media ethics. The methodology was survey study and our statistical population was the editorial board of family magazines. We collected our data by questionnaire. The data and samples were the editorial board members of family magazines. The findings demonstrate the main presumption of research- which believes that Persian-language family magazines aren’t principled in respecting to the criteria of media ethics- has been confirmed. The presumption based on respecting to objectivity rule have been confirmed, but the presumption of telling the truth, violence promotion, and respecting to individual sanctum, has not been confirmed. Also,It seems the family magazines tend to yellow journalism style.
