Survey of Factors affecting to predict mammography in employed women aged 35 years and older based on the Theory of planned behavior

Breast cancer remains the most common malignancy in women worldwide and is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Mammography is as the most accurate method for early detection of breast cancer. Despite evidence that regular mammography screening can reduce breast cancer mortality; many women fail to receive mammography. This study aimed to determine the factors affecting mammography in employed women 35 years and older based on Theory of planned behavior. This cross-sectional study is a descriptive analysis that was conducted (1388) on 320employed women. The information gathered by the questionnaire MBAQ questionnaire and data were code, analyzed using statistical tests-test and Logistic regression. The results of the study show that there are significant differences in average scores Subjective norm،intention and perceived behavioral control between the groups that did mammography (27%) and the group that did not mammography. Logistic regression analysis showed that significant predictors of to mammography behavior are Subjective norm, intention and perceived behavioral control. The results show that Subjective norm, intention and perceived behavioral control are predicted Mammographic screening of women. When mammography for women to understand and accept it as a norm going to do it and do it under their own control, mammograms will be doing.
