Causal model of the relationship between social selection,social intelligence and collectivism/individualism Athletes

Abstract:
Introduction
The aim of this study is to evaluate the modeling causal relationships between social selection, social intelligence and collectivism/individualism athletes.
Methods
This research was a descriptive-correlation study. The study population included 150 male athletes who have been selected by multistage random sampling method. Researcher’s questionnaires of social selection, Tromso Social Intelligence and Individualism/ Collectivism Scale of Auckland were used to collect data. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and path analysis.
Results
The findings show that the social selection have a direct effect to social intelligence, social skills and social processes, And social intelligence is directly related to collectivism and individualism. On the other hand social intelligence have indirect effects on both collectivism /individualism. Result of this study showed that the improvement of the social selection is associated with increased intelligence social and increased of social intelligence have directly effect on individualism/collectivism.
