A comparison of Information Literacy of Library & Information Science, and Information Technology MS Students at Tehran University

Measuring differences between Information Literacy of LIS، and IT MS students in the University of Tehran. Design/Methodology/Approach: A questionnaire was distributed among the two groups for data collection. Both knowledge and skills of students، including using search and retrieval tools، familiarity with sources in their discipline، evaluating information resources، knowledge of ethical issues related to information، skills in the using Internet services and facilities، and knowledge of English language is high. IL among both groups is at a high level. Both hypotheses of the study were rejected as no statistically meaningful difference was found between LIS vs IT students، nor between male and female students.
