Purification of Catharsis in art periods

For the first time, Catharsis, is introduced in Aristotle's book as a provocative treatise a pity and fear, purification and illumination. The different interpretations of Catharsis which is based on religion, medicine and ethics, caused to identify and evaluate its nature in classical period. Accordingly, the aim of this paper is to investigate the evolution of how Catharsis explores the quality of modern theater and drama base on drama parameter in this era. The hypothesis is proposed that Catharsis has an independent nature and its quality is altered. On the other hand, this paper also seek to achieve a precise and clear definition of Catharsis in contemporary. Investigate the nature of Catharsis can evaluate its quality and favorable cognitive function which cause continuity in contemporary art. The data collection in this paper is library and descriptive research methods.
