Development of the National Innovation System in the Islamic Republic of Iran

Abstract:
The present article examined the status of the National Innovation System in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This research is part of the nature of quantitative research, one goal of applied research, the variable rate of non-experimental methods, descriptive - survey counts. The population includes all administrators and faculty members of Tehran universities (public and Azad) and industry sectors, as well as managers and professionals that in the field of NIS has authored or translated (74 people). The results showed that the most important limiting factor in the development of national innovation system in the country is "the state economy and less attention to the participation of the private sector, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship", the most important factor strengthening is "the emphasis on the development of science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in the documents and upstream application system" and the most important strategy is "developing a comprehensive model, careful planning and operational approaches in the development of science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship".
