Semiotics of the Character of Virgin Marry in the Quran

Message:
Abstract:
Semiology is a system of codes that can be understood by style of phrases. Due to an artistic and aesthetics structure, a literary text has a complex system in such a way that one symbol denotes several meanings. The Quran as superior of artistic texts, pays much attention to describing speech and treatment of characters in such a way that an addressee would imagine the character alive on the stage. The character of woman, who is the main element of the story, has played an important role in the stories of the Quran. Delving into the characters of women in the Quran would reveal the concealed dimensions of their characters. However, some of these characters remain ambiguous; therefore, symptoms and codes can help the reader to understand the concealed dimensions of their character. Marry is the only woman whose name is directly mentioned. We can see some portions of her life in Suras of Ale_emran, Nesaa, Maaede, Maryam, Anbiaa, Momenun, and Tahrim. The various usage of symbols in the text, act of treatment, act of speech, and performance are noticeable in the function of symbols. Therefore, we can reach a comprehensive insight of the characters through the mentioned elements.
