Performance Assessment of Radio Presenters in TV Live Programs

The present study aims to examine the criteria and principles of presenting in radio and television, based on experimental evidence gained from a survey on IRIB presenters’ performance. Since much of a live TV program effectiveness hangs on the presenter, one could consider the findings of this research as an introduction to studies on the way radio presenters are chosen and trained. The findings of this survey-based research are indicative of certain weaknesses in radio presenters’ performance: lack of diversity in subjects; being talkative in live programs; defective informing; mismanaging the relationship with audience.
