Inconsistency of Modern Human Sciences and Social Structures in Iranian Society

The present study aims at analyzing the problems and barriers and malfunctions of sociology in Iran according to the conceptual theories of Robert Merton in science of sociology. Merton sociology of science emphasizes on two basic aspects: 1-cultural adaptation of science and other social institutions. 2-institutionalizing the science as a social institution.
The method of the survey is based on documentary- quality method.
The results of the research indicate that there is no ideal cultural consistency among Iranian social structures and social science institution and their values and norms. On the other hand inconsistency between social science and Iranian social institutions concludes in an inappropriate function of sociology (normative and cognitive) in social structures, particularly internal organizations.
The author of the article concludes the necessity of institutionalizing the society science in Iranian community based on internal functional differentiation and suggests considering the scientific motivations as a social-cultural value and development of the society based on knowledge based economic view.
