Investigating the Impact of Social Capital on Innovation Performance: With Emphasis on Intermediation Role of Knowledge Transfer (case of Iranian IT Knowledge based firms)

Nowadays, the innovational performance is one of the key factors of knowledge-based organizations’ survival issue. Innovations in performance lead organizations to maintain competitive advantage and organizational development. Creating an innovational performance needs an effective and sustainable communication with all stakeholders and public environment in organization. Social capital is a kind of capital that facilitates the access to information and vital resources in order to improve environmental performance while takes advantage of environmental opportunities. This research seeks to develop a systematic framework about social capital, mediator role of knowledge transfer and innovational performance in Iranian knowledge based organizations while tries to broaden the frontiers of knowledge in this area. This survey is an applied research based on its very aim. The data gathered through random sampling method from Information Technology knowledge based organizations in Iran by questionnaire. Structural Equation Modeling used to analyze the data by the help of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that social capital and knowledge transfer have impact on innovational performance in Iranian knowledge based organizations. In addition, the mediator role of knowledge transfer in impressing social capital and innovational performance in Iranian knowledge base organizations is confirmed.
