Citation and Content analysis of Articles Published in Journal of National Studies (No. 16-58)

Abstract:
This article analyzes the sources cited in articles published in the Journal of National Studies. The research method is citation analysis، and data analysis was performed using Excel software. The review of the subject scattering showed more than half the articles (50. 41 percent)، the issue of «national identity» has been discussed. The books with 6820 citations and journal articles with over 2234 citations were more than from other sources. Among the cited sources of the Persian، 68. 47 percent of the books were written and 31. 52 percent were translation. Also، 93. 82 percent (1489) of the Persian journals articles were written and 6. 17 percent (98 cases) have been translation. The highest cited author and translator were respectively، Anthony Giddens with 82 and Mohsen Salasi with 51 citations. The highest cited books in Persian and English were “Modernity and Distinction” and “Social Identity”، respectively، with 31 and 9 citations. The highest cited journals in English and Persian were “National Studies” and the “Journal of Personality and Social Psychology”، respectively، with 345 and 11 citations.
