The Place of Isthmus in Mullasadra Ontological Geometry

Message:
Abstract:
This article has as its objective the study of Mullasadra doctrine on Barzakh. Before Mullasadra, the life of Barzakh was considered to be a theological subject, which Mullasadra presented as a philosophical issue, which follows the transubstantiation of human soul and his/her faculties and perceptions. He believes that after death, partial perceptions are made by the illusion faculty. This faculty accompanying the soul will survive the death. And its posterior stage is called the Barzakh stage. By this faculty, the human will remember all of his/her acts in this world. And, this is why the Barzakh is called “the world of Misal”. This world is an Barzakh world between pure intelligence and material existents. Thus, the world of¬ Misal is an existent that is not material. Yet it has certain properties of materials such as quantity, form and actual accident. Human with all of his/her inherent characters of essence, attributes and acts is present in Misal, without being accompanied by evil dispositions, evil actions, defective concomitants and non-existential dimensions. Mullasadra explains the emergence of esoteric and deep layers of soul on the basis of the trans-substantial motion of the soul, which is an evolutionary and intensification motion.
