Bifid Mandibular Condyle: A Case Report

The double headed mandibular condyle is a rare deformity, which is commonly diagnosed as an incidental finding in a panoramic radiograph. This study reports a case with bifid mandibular condyle, who referred for routine dental examination.Case Report: The patient is a 23-year-old man with unilateral bifid condyle (without any history of trauma in childhood), who referred to the Radiology Department of School of Dentistry in Qom. Panoramic radiography and tomography showed an abnormal right condyle. Bifid mandibular condyle is a rare anomaly with unknown etiology. This anomaly requires careful clinical examination, and specific imaging is necessary for its future control.
