Prioritizing Transportation Network Links Using the Developed Minimum Spanning Tree
Author(s):
Abstract:
The connectivity of transportation network vertices and prioritization of links are critical issues in the network performance measuring. Prioritization of links is a useful instrument for decanting of drawback and strong point of network. Several studies considered this matter, and usually exploit network reliability concept; but a few studies have attended to network continuity. Developed Minimum Spanning Tree (DMST) by developing the cost associated with each link to loaded network tries to estimate cost of the links more realistic. This paper used DMST concept to prioritized Tehran province intercity arterial road links. Results show that, 13 links of network (out of 76 links) were in all scenarios and considered as the most important network links and it seems that they are network drawback. Results of this paper can be used in road, transportation and logistics management’s fields for strategic decision making in the disaster condition.
