The Role of ICT in Performance Improvement of Organizational HRM (The Case Study Health and Treatment Center of Tehran Petroleum Industry)

Abstract:
Increasingly rapid advances in technology and its applicability in different organizational areas have caused ICT to penetrate into a new approach to human resource management (HRM), namely electronic HRM. Improving the efficiency of office tasks, together with applying various technological aspects, may permit human resource managers to employ a smaller number of personnel and play a more valuable role in their organizations.The present research is intended to the role of ICT in improving the performance of human resources -The Case Study Health and Treatment Center of Tehran Petroleum Industry- The research is a survey, and its data are collected through questionnaire. It applied a probability sampling method and 425 employees were selected into such three groups as paramedics, medics, and office staff.According to the results, most personnel believe that technology has a major role in improving organizational HRM performance. Educational degrees of the personnel have relationship with their viewpoints regarding electronic HRM.
