Electronic learning and nursing education

Abstract:
Introduction
Advancement of information technology cause a change in sciences and the appearance of new areas in this such as e-learning and e-health. The use of e-learning courses because of its flexibility have a good possibility for expansion of scientific content and provides increasing depth of learning. That can be one of the most important ways to receive an educational growing needs and skills in the field of nursing science.
Materials And Methods
By searching the English databases from 2004 to 2014 and the Persian literature from 1383 to 1393، the present study was to investigate the related articles. Firstly، 54 papers were selected and by closer examination، 32 papers were identified completely related to the present study.
Results
The results showed that e-learning should not be regarded as an alternative method for all training methods، instead it should be used as a complementary method along with the other methods used in nursing education.
Conclusion
What is certain is that e-learning is not better and more valuable than all traditional methods of teaching in nursing، but it can be of particular interest as a supportive and complementary method in nursing education
