The relationship between religious orientation and psychological well-being in Students of medical university of Gonabad in 91-1390

A recent prospective positive approach to mental health and sense of well-being spread Roy knew the positive factors such as self-esteem, good social relations and satisfaction have been highlighted. This study aimed to determine the relationship between religious orientation and mental well-being of university students knew GONABAD took the 91-1390 school year. In this cross-sectional study (descriptive - analytic) sections 320 students from various majors and multi-stage random sampling and questionnaires Roy knew Welfare (Reef et al), and religious orientation (Alport) of were. SPSS software using independent T test and Spearman correlation coefficients were analyzed. The results showed that there was no relationship between intrinsic religious orientation and psychological well-being (P =0.128), while a negative relationship between psychological well-being and extrinsic religious orientation was (P =0.009). Between the sexes in terms of extrinsic religious orientation was a significant difference in the way boys than girls were outside of religious orientation (P =0.007). The relationship between age and self-orientation, there was a significant and direct, so that with increasing age, the students had more intrinsic religious orientation. (P =0.012).
