Monitoring General Health in Executive and Operational Police and its Correlation with the Quality of Military Mission Performances

Aims
Police play a vital role in providing security in societies and of course manpower is the most important part of the efficiency in this organization. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the monitoring of public health in the executive and operational police of one of the provinces of Iran and its correlation with the quality of military mission performances.
Methods
351 police officers of police stations, traffic polices, check pointers and Special Forces were selected by using cluster sampling. Fitness tests, public health assessment questionnaire and the quality of military missions were evaluated during this study.
Results
The results of this study shows that the level of public health of Special Forces including physical fitness, physical activity, mental health and eating patterns and habits are in much better conditions compared to other blocks. Moreover, public health conditions in Special Forces had a significant correlation with the quality of the military mission performances but, this correlation was not significant with the eating patterns and habits.
Conclusion
Public health has an extensive correlation with the quality of military mission performances. Therefore an appropriate planning is needed in order to promote and upgrade the general knowledge of health to eventually increase physical activity, reduce stress, treat damages and finally improve nutritional status.
