Qualitative Evaluation of Iranian Children and Young Adult's Websites Using "Web-QEM" Model

Abstract:
Purpose
The qualitative evaluation of Iranian children and young adult's websites. Methodology/Approach: It is a survey study using a checklist based on ISO 9126-1 and Web-QEM model. Data gathered from 33 websites.
Results
Iranian children and young adult's websites are not in a desirable status considering usability (Average=0.39) and functionality (Average=0.44). Also, they are still far from the high desirable situation based on reliability (Average=0.63) and efficiency (Average=0.73).
Conclusion
Iranian children and young adult's websites are below the medium level regarding Web-QEM qualitative measures and are required to be redesigned.
