Assessing organizational culture in hospitals Denison Model

Organizational culture has a vital role in its sustaining or death. In regarding relationship between new strategies with organizational culture، it is necessary organizational culture completely well known. This study was done for assessing organizational culture and their desirability in hospitals based on Denison Model along (2012-2013). Method and Material: This cross sectional study was done in four hospitals in Mashhad and Nishabour proveniences that (194) employees who had at least two years experiences were selected simple along (2012-2013) randomly. Data gathered by Denison Organizational Culture questioner (2000) that had four kinds of cultures; participative، adaptive، coping and missioning. Reliability was done by test – re test and correlations'' of them were between (0. 648— 0. 923) ranges. Data were analyzed in MANOVA and Tukey statistical tests by SPSS17. finding showed that dominant organizational culture (4 hospitals) was missioning. T test showed the level of organizational culture desirability was average in four hospitals (2. 8 > mean > 1. 6). Also، MANOVA test showed that hospitals in two cities had not differ significantly (Willk''s Lambda (4،189) =0. 62، P=0. 649>0. 05(. it would be suggested hospital managers try to promotion their organizational cultures to participative culture.
