Relationship between dimensions of prayer and spiritual health of patients treated with dialysis in Ilam province in 1393

Spiritual, physical and mental health is disturbed in some Patients treated with dialysis. Religious behaviours specially prayer can increase spiritual energy and positive attitude in patients. The present study has done with the aim of investigate the relationship between prayer with spiritual health in Patients treated with dialysis in Ilam in 1393. For this purpose 150 patients referred to specialist clinics and hospitals in the province of Ilam selected by available method and completed 2 questionnaires of Paloutezian & Ellison spiritual health questionnaire and Poloma & Pendelton Prayer questionnaire. Research design is correlation and datas were analyzed with R Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analyzes. The results showed that there are a significant positive correlation among dimensions of prayer with spiritual dimensions in renal failure patients, The highest correlation coefficient is Previous experience of prayer that is the most important variables in this study. Regression coefficients with hirachical method for linear combination of prayer and spiritual health was significant in the levels of less than 0/001. The Present result support of the relationship between prayer and spiritual health in renal patients in Ilam.Therefore considering the dimensions of prayer and overall worship and relationship with God, is important to increase the spiritual health of patients and the subsequent increase in their mental health.
