Case Study of Performing Media Literacy Lesson Plan for Fourth Grade Primary School Students

Media literacy promotion is the requirement of the present era permeated with media messages. But it doesnt come true automatically; besides it demands rigid and regular training and planning, strictly recommended to be done from early ages. This article is in fact a report of a pilot lesson plan regarding Media Literacy Education performed in the fourth grade of Sama One Elementary School. For initial lesson plans, library and document studies were carried out; moreover through participant observation, the implementation of lesson plans in each session was recorded. Research findings suggest that after passing this course, we approached the media literacy training goals from cognitive and critical viewpoints. The purpose of presenting this article is to attain a comprehensive plan concerning this considerate issue for different parts of the country through various reports of performing regular courses of Media Literacy Education for all ages, in addition to studying and analyzing their strengths and weaknesses.
