The Analysis of Hormozan Mehregany's resistances against the Arab Muslims

Abstract:
Hormozan the captain's name in the Sassanid, Yazdgerd the third, who his base was very high. His family were among distinguished dynasties of Sasanid's period. In ancient Iran, there were seven family estates which because of having frequent subjects and also technical merits and bravery of a warrior and the cavalry, had directly influenced on the successes and failures of the dynasty of ancient Iran. Hormozan was also a member of this great families, who at the time of the Sassanid were able to maintain their position in the political developments of this dynasty, had an active and effective role. Birthplace of Hormozan According to sources, Mehregancadak (the current DarrehShahr), but the ruling of Hormozan family was Masbazan, Khuzestan and Mehregancadak. After the defeat of the Persians, Hormozan at the Battle Qadsia, he could not resist for a year and six months against the Arab's attack. This research citing sources and using analytical method, with the aim of analyzing Birth place of Hormuz and the rule of his family, Political and cultural role at the end of Sassanid era and the early Islamic era and accordingly the reasons for resistance against the Arabs has been written.
