The Transformation of «Human-Tree» and «Tree-Human» in Hormozgan: s Folk Tales

This paper investigates the transformation of «human - tree» and «tree - human» in Hormozgan›s written folk tales andattempts to emphasize the importance of maintaining and studying the folktales. This study also shows how one can find the traces of a nation›s old and mythological beliefs in its folk literature. The present article briefly concludes that in Hormozgan›s folk tales, the «human - tree» & «tree - human» as an ancient belief is of very high frequency in comparison to other transformations, and it usually appears in two forms: -1 the transformation of tree- man and the transformation of «tree- woman». These transformations are sometimes the result of passion, anger, the death of an innocent, and they are sometimes used to deceive the others to achieve the goals and objectives.
