Construct and validate a questionnaire Social Position Knowledge and Information Science profession

Any profession or occupation specific social position in society, and to assess its position, continued and survival profession or occupation guarantees. Sothe main purpose of this research was to construct and validate a questionnaire for measuring social status of Knowledge and Information Science profession.
This is an applied survey research. The face validity and construct validity were used to validate questionnaire. Reliability was reviewed by internal consistency coefficient. The population of the study consists total number of the Librarians working in Ahwaz libraries (academic, special, and public) was 250 by census.
Necessity & Innovation: in this research,construct and validate a questionnaire social status of the Knowledge and Information have been with a comprehensive overview toward the social variables effective.
Findings: The results of factor analysis show the affect on the social status of 55 items, 42 items in total correlation which led to categorizing 9 factors were acceptable. Findings showed that 9 factors influence the social status of librarians; the intensity of the influence of factors from the highest to the lowest are respectively as: economic factor, standard factor, expertise factor, personality factor, educational factor, information technology factor, contact factor, cultural factor, and organizational factor. Results of internal consistency (Cranach’s alpha) showed that a questionnaire social status possessed suitable reliability coefficients.

results of this research showed that questionnaire social status had satisfactory reliability and validity coefficients and is considered a suitable tool for measuring social status in future research.
