Strategy Study of Urban Management for Sustainable Development in the Historical Texture, Case Study: Historic Texture of Yazd City

Since the early decades of the 90th century the use of indicators to measure and evaluate the performance of programs and projects government agencies have rebounded and urban management is not deprived of this wave. Since urban management with shaping of space, attempts to raise the citizen’s welfare and achieving sustainable development in neighborhoods, assess performance, in fact, one of the basic principle management tools for achieving the goals, strategies and programs and one way of evaluating performance is satisfaction people. In this regard present research by using a survey method looking to measure performance and to determine the optimal strategy for urban management in the historic texture of Yazd city. The results of the citizen's satisfaction level of performance urban management, in four dimensions of socio-cultural, environmental, economic and physical, indicates that in all neighborhoods of the historic texture of Yazd city, the urban management from of citizen’s viewpoint is not acceptable and it is essential that urban management with Improve Strategy, in all neighborhoods promote to better performance indicators and indicators related to neighborhood sustainability and by concentrating the programs, resources and activities, provide better services for citizens.
