Relationship between Dysfunctional Attitudes with the Components of Psychological Well-being in Students of Islamic Azad University of Tabriz

Abstract:
Introduction
Psychological well-being of the student population is one of the major categories in the field of academic and social success. The aim of this study was to survey the relationship between dysfunctional attitudes with the components of psychological well-being in students of Islamic Azad University of Tabriz.
Materials And Methods
For this purpose 380 students of Islamic Azad University¡ whose numbers were determined using through cluster sampling¡ completed Ryff psychological well-being questionnaire and weissman dysfunctional attitudes scale(DAS).
Results
The results of the correlation matrix showed that the Relationship between dysfunctional attitudes with the components of psychological well-being is a negative meaningful relationship (self-acceptance: r=-0.195¡ positive relationship with others: r=-0.312¡ autonomy=-0.176¡ purpose in life: r=-0.219¡ personal growth: r=-0.273¡ environmental mastery: r=-0.268).
Conclusion
The results indicate that with the increase in dysfunctional attitudes psychological well-being of students is reduced.
